On his weekly radio show on 105.3 The Fan, Jerry Jones said: “He certainly has the kind of skills and impact that we want to look to the future with — with the Cowboys.”

Asked during a radio interview Monday if the Cowboys are interested in a long-term deal with Hardy, his son, Stephon Jones, told KRLD-FM “absolutely,” and that it’s “very much a possibility.”

Jones went on to say (via Dallas Morning News) that Hardy is not a divisive player among the Cowboys.

“Not at all. Zero,” Jones said. “Got a lot respect from his teammates, and he’s a very competitive guy, obviously wants to win. Frustrations can flow.

“… And I think his teammates respect him from everything I heard, their comments after the game. Everybody was supportive of him, and there’s no issue here.”

Hardy is on a one-year contract with the Cowboys and missed the first four games due to suspension.
