The culprit? McFadden’s phone fumble. Cowboys running backs coach Gary Brown reportedly said McFadden fell on his elbow while trying to catch his phone and keep it from hitting the ground.

McFadden is coming off his best season since 2010 in his first year behind the talented Dallas offensive line. He played in all 16 games and rushed for 1,089 yards and three touchdowns on 239 carries.
McFadden, 28, should be back before the end of training camp, but the injury likely will pave the way even further for fourth overall draft pick Ezekiel Elliott to become the team’s featured back.
